Field notes / November 3, 2026

The original ten,
eleven years later.

Where is the first Alone cast now? The useful answer distinguishes a recent public trace from an old biography that still happens to be online.

Four people have dated 2026 signals in the sources reviewed. Others have older, qualified or sparse evidence. This is a research check-in, not a claim to know everyone’s current home, health or private life.

The first season turns a person into a number quickly: twelve hours, four days, fifty-six. Outside that experiment, careers can continue, change direction or become less public. A useful follow-up lets those different stories remain different.

Alan Kay
● 2026 evidence

Alan Kay

Alan's public work remains rooted in survival education. His own site advertises survival, preparedness and self-defense training. More recent dated evidence is an organizer's October 2026 schedule listing him to teach “Know More - Carry Less” in North Carolina. The schedule verifies the booking, not his attendance or his current home address.

Dated evidence reviewed: Oct 14, 2026
Scheduled participation, not independently confirmed attendance.

Sam Larson
● 2026 evidence

Sam Larson

Sam's current institutional profile is with Redemption Hill Bible Church in Hickman, Nebraska, where he is listed among its pastors. The church describes a move into ministry after a decade in outdoor education. A 2026 sermon publication supports this public role. His older Jack Mountain interview remains a useful, clearly dated guide to his outdoor teaching work.

Dated evidence reviewed: Aug 2, 2026
This is a verified dated example, not a claim that it is his latest published sermon.

Mitch Mitchell
● Qualified evidence

Mitch Mitchell

Mitch's public body of work is preserved through Native Survival and Bushcraft and a detailed 2018 interview covering his school, gear designs and navigation teaching. A public video index also records channel uploads in 2026, but that index is secondary evidence. We did not verify a 2026 course calendar, an active storefront or his present residence.

Dated evidence reviewed: Mar 21, 2018
Latest fully inspected dated primary interview. A secondary index lists 2026 uploads, but playback was not independently reviewed.

Lucas Miller
● Historical evidence

Lucas Miller

Lucas has a substantial public record beyond his original island experiment: HISTORY names him as a co-host of Alone's official companion podcast, with dated public episodes from 2024. His Season 1 interview and a 2022 long conversation offer the clearest window into his shelter design, music-making and philosophy. These sources do not establish his exact 2026 home, employment arrangements or family circumstances.

Dated evidence reviewed: Sep 6, 2024
Latest dated professional evidence verified in this research. Does not establish that the podcast was still recording new episodes in 2026. Feed titles contain later-season spoilers.

Dustin Feher
● No fresh update

Dustin Feher

The verifiable material is still predominantly archival: Dustin's original HISTORY profile, casting tape and first-day footage. A social directory published in 2016 attributes a Facebook page to him, but its current posts could not be inspected. No reliably dated 2026 personal or professional update was verified.

Dated evidence reviewed: 2015
No reliably dated 2026 update verified.

Brant McGee
● No fresh update

Brant McGee

Brant's original HISTORY profile and two official 2015 clips remain the strongest identity-matched sources. Older entertainment profiles describe search-and-rescue work and S4 Risk, but those reports do not establish his position in 2026. No fresh, reliably identity-matched 2026 interview or personal update was verified.

Dated evidence reviewed: 2015
No reliably dated 2026 role or activity verified.

Wayne Russell
● Historical evidence

Wayne Russell

Wayne's June 2022 interview offers a much fuller picture than his short Season 1 appearance: it discusses wilderness instruction, search-and-rescue volunteering and practical mental preparation. His Kullcraven identity is consistently linked by archival and interview sources. Current vendor pages still document gear collaborations, but they do not verify a new 2026 teaching schedule.

Dated evidence reviewed: Jun 3, 2022
2022 interview verified; current collaboration pages found, no dated 2026 teaching update verified.

Joe Robinet
● 2026 evidence

Joe Robinet

Joe has clear dated public activity in 2026. March and April podcast interviews discuss his wilderness filmmaking, canoe trips, the book Surviving Joe and the story behind his documentary. His official website links the book, documentary and YouTube channel. Those sources document his public creative work; they do not independently establish his current health, residence or private circumstances.

Dated evidence reviewed: Apr 1, 2026
Interview publication date, not a new medical assessment or a claim that no newer work exists.

Chris Weatherman
● 2026 evidence

Chris Weatherman

Chris is publicly active as Angery American, the author behind the Survivalist books and host of Angery American Nation. His own feed carries episodes dated through 8 October 2026. In a separate interview published on 24 August 2026, he revisits Season 1, mental resilience, preparedness and testing equipment in difficult weather.

Dated evidence reviewed: Oct 8, 2026
Dated 2026 activity verified from his own podcast feed and a broadcaster interview.

Josh Chavez
● No fresh update

Josh Chavez

Josh's identity and pre-show story are documented by HISTORY and a June 2015 WOUB report from his home region. Those sources identify a police officer and hunter from Jackson County, Ohio. No reliably matched current website, personal channel or dated 2026 life update was verified, so the profile should not guess his present job or family circumstances.

Dated evidence reviewed: Aug 5, 2015
No reliably dated 2026 update verified.

What this check-in establishes.

A dated organizer schedule establishes that a class was advertised, not that an instructor attended. A staff biography and a dated publication support a public role. An old interview is valuable history, but it should not be relabelled as a new life update.

For Dustin, Brant and Josh, this research did not establish a reliable new 2026 personal or professional update. That does not mean they stopped working, teaching or adventuring. It means the evidence does not justify saying what they do now.

The link matters as much as the biography.

Legacy domains can expire or change purpose. A former business address that no longer points to the survival venture is excluded. An unavailable storefront is not promoted as an active 2026 shop.

Better alumni reporting would add direct conversations, approved photographs and dated corrections from the people themselves. Until then, the source trail stays visible and uncertainty stays attached to the claim.
