Choose the learning.
Then choose the course.
A short set of questions to make different training offers easier to understand.
Start with the skill you want to practise.
A weekend introduction, a residential bushcraft programme and expedition training can serve different goals. Ask what you will actually practise and what the course assumes you already know.
Ask where the course happens.
A provider’s contact address, an instructor’s base and a course venue can be different places. Use the joining information for the selected date. Do not treat a regional map marker as the entrance.
Read the whole price basis.
Check the duration, meals, accommodation, supplied equipment and items you must bring. A smaller headline price does not explain what is included.
Understand who will teach.
Look for the actual instructor, the supervision offered and the provider’s answers to your questions. Television participation is context; it does not replace the details of a teaching offer.
